The outrage has only continued to grow since Lego announced their Friends line of products targeted at girls. People are bugfuck crazymad over this.
Meanwhile, Leah got some for her birthday. She loves them. She has been playing together nicely all day with confirmed Legoholic Danny, she with this cute little treehouse and car, he with his Harry Potter stuff. She’s getting all the creative play benefits, the fine motor skill practice, a bonus round of social play, and all sorts of other good stuff out of the deal. All via a toy that, frankly, she had no interest in when it was all “boy” stuff.
How is this a problem, exactly? Is the world not full of other things to get mad about?
