• I want to hire someone to speak Portuguese to me…just hang around and say random things, doesn’t matter what.
• I saw a gold medal performance today in expressing withering contempt from 25 meters, and in new record time: my blood froze in just 534 milliseconds.
• The electronic trading incident at Knight Capital hit way too close to home. I have been on the wrong side of one of those and it altered the course of my life forever.
• That said: I do not feel more regulation of proprietary trading is necessary. They blew their money, not customers’, and they knew the risks (as we all do) when they stepped up to the table.
• However, if you lose customer money like MF Global did, your ass should go straight to fucking jail and you don’t get out until they are repaid.
• Someday I will tell my trading horror story in detail, but I can’t right now.
• I’ll talk about the Mystery Hater in more detail, too. (Not related.)
• I am very bitchy lately but withholding the primary reason since it’s TMI. I’ll be better soon, though I know I am often more entertaining when I’m like this. SRY.
