Those videos Shane posted earlier of Bernard Purdie got me in the mood for the Dan. He kicks into a modified version of the Purdie Shuffle when the verse starts.
You gotta love a guy who just goes right ahead and names things after himself…there is no bigger fan of Bernard than Bernard. But that beat is so, so smooth, so easy, so good. I guess he earned the right.
Next time I’m in LA I’m going to rent a convertible and drive west on Sunset to the sea while listening to this.
