I like it in theory, but to be devil’s advocate for a minute: 1) it’ll never happen, because 2) it’s not enforceable in practice.

Once you post something, there is no way to stop someone from just pasting the whole thing into a new post.

Sure, you might stop some of the lazier ones by taking away the one-click access. But the real creepers won’t be deterred. Look at how many images find their way here, totally unattributed, from all over the place.

There are a lot of features tumblr needs. #1 would be the ability to go private, imho. No public URL, and you get to pick who sees you in your private stream (like a protected Twitter feed or a properly locked-down Facebook page). If tumblr could provide that, most other privacy concerns would fade quickly.
