Here’s the thing about presidential power: the advancement of it is like a ratchet. It only goes one way. Even if the current president having this kind of power doesn’t bother you, imagine the one you hated the most having it. And then imagine a guy twice as bad as him somewhere down the road and changing the definition to suit him.
